I believe success typically starts with the kernel of an idea and grows through persistence, persuasion and collaboration. Sometimes the successes listed started from my own idea and other times, grew because of my involvement. Very little gets accomplished in politics if people insist on working alone.

  • tollfree calling to the township office for residents on the north side of Rice Lake
  • sign by-law limiting election signs to private property
  • reduced minimum square footage for residential dwellings, to allow more affordable housing
  • increased accessibility at Bewdley docks
  • public meetings on the budget process to allow discussion of encourage public input
  • recording of Council meetings to improve transparency
  • seasonal washroom facilities at Harwood and Gore’s Landing waterfront, Plainville tennis courts and township parks
  • creation of the Recreational Programmer position to look provide recreational programming within our township for all ages
  • inclusion of environmental impact section in information packages presented to Council for decision making purposes
  • creation of website and increased use of technology to improve communication
  • creation of a library branch in Bewdley
